IPHS Century House Project
Old Irving Park has an extensive number of historically significant residential properties within its confines; at this time, over 800 residential properties are over 100 years old. The Irving Park Historical Society recognizes the increasing value of these historic resources and their impact and contribution to the community.
As a way to promote the rich past, recognize the investments made to preserve the historic heritage and provide for a standard way to mark residential properties, the Irving Park Historical Society has created a program to recognize homes within the confines of Old Irving Park that are over a century old. The program has two tiers (options):
- Tier 1 – Century House – Program that designates a property within the confines of Old Irving Park that is over 100 years old.
- Tier 2 – Century House Research Grant – Any property that qualifies for the Century house program can apply for a research grant to fully research the history of the property.
