Hello, I’m Cillione Tan, a graduate student at the University of Chicago pursuing a Master of Public Health with a Data Science concentration.
My passion is addressing public health concerns using data-driven methods and improving population health outcomes. With a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and German from the University of California—Santa Barbara, I have gained valuable experience working in both the academic and private sectors. In 2019, I worked as a chromatography analyst at Anresco Laboratories in San Francisco, CA, involved in analyzing samples for food and pharmaceutical testing. In 2021, I worked as a Laboratory Assistant II at Stanford University School of Medicine’s Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research. I engaged with study participants during routine site visits, manufactured pharmaceutical products, and analyzed allergen samples. I am excited to contribute to the mission of the Institute for Population Health Sciences and enhance the well-being of marginalized communities.
